Copic Ciao Markers
The Copic Ciao is a refillable, dual ended alcohol marker designed for illustration, design and creative colouring. Every marker features Copic's renowned Super Brush nib for expressive strokes on one end and a Medium Broad nib on the other for filling larger areas and broad coverage. Using the same professional grade alcohol ink as the Copic Sketch, the Ciao delivers virtually identical colouring performance in a smaller, lighter body. Designed to be refilled rather than replaced, it's built as a long term creative tool rather than a disposable marker.

Product details
The Copic Ciao has quietly become one of the smartest buys in premium alcohol markers. It delivers almost everything artists love about the Copic Sketch while asking considerably less of your wallet. Unless you genuinely need the larger colour range or extra ink capacity, the Ciao is arguably the better balanced marker.
The biggest misconception surrounding the Copic Ciao is that it's a beginner's marker. In reality, the colouring experience is remarkably close to the Copic Sketch because the parts that matter most haven't changed. The same responsive Super Brush nib delivers exceptional control for blending, feathering and expressive strokes, while the Medium Broad nib quickly fills larger areas with smooth, even colour. It's this combination of two genuinely useful nibs, not simply two different tips that gives the Ciao its versatility across illustration, lettering and colouring. What makes the Ciao so easy to recommend is that it sacrifices very little. The lighter barrel feels comfortable during long drawing sessions, the alcohol ink blends as beautifully as any Copic should, and both nibs can be replaced while the marker itself is fully refillable. Rather than becoming another disposable marker, it's designed to stay in your collection for years. Interestingly, the conversation around the Ciao has shifted in recent years. While the Sketch has traditionally been viewed as the professional's choice, many experienced artists now recommend the Ciao first. The smaller ink reservoir is rarely a deal breaker and some collectors have become cautious of more recent Sketch production after reports of cracked caps and premature drying. The Ciao has largely avoided those criticisms, giving it an unexpectedly strong reputation for everyday reliability. Its limitations are refreshingly straightforward. The round barrel is more prone to rolling, the smaller ink capacity means more frequent refills for heavy users, and the colour range doesn't offer the complete palette available in the Sketch series. For professional illustrators who depend on every colour or work through large volumes of ink, the Sketch still earns its place. For almost everyone else, the Ciao delivers the Copic experience with remarkably few compromises.
